Ramtek News : Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University had organised an awareness programme on the three criminal laws which came into force viz Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and Bharatiya Saksh Adhiniyam 2023, in place of the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and Indian Evidence Act.
The three new laws are being enforced from July 1, 2024, across the nation. Superintendent of Police, Nagpur Rural Harsh Poddar was the resource person. Pro-VC of KKSU Prof Krishnakumar Pandey was in the chair. Prof Madhusudan Penna, Prof Harekrishna Agasti, Ramtek Police Officer Ramesh Barkate, PI Prashant Kale were present on the dais.
The teachers, staff and students of the university attended the programme.
