Don’t give funds to NIT for garden maintenance
NAGPUR NEWS : Dayashankar Tiwari, the Mayor, has given instructions to the Garden Department of NMC not to give any funds for maintenance of 41 gardens transferred by NIT to NMC as NIT has not maintained even a single garden transferred to NIT.
He was addressing a meeting held in chamber of Mayor here on Thursday to take a view of the prevailing position of the gardens transferred by NIT to NMC and pending works. He understood the situation of the 41 gardens and asked the Garden Department not to give funds to NIT for maintenance of gardens transferred by NMC. Tiwari discussed on taking care of gardens through people’s participation.
Rajendra Sonkusre, Chairman, Establishment & Project Committee, Rupa Roy, Member, Harish Dikondwar, Chairman of Slums Committee, Dipak Kumar Meena, Addl Municipal Commissioner, Ravindra Bhelawe, Deputy Commissioner, and Amol Chaurpagar, Garden Superintendent, were present.
